Richard A. "Rick" Stieglitz, 79, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Parkview Randallia Hospital.

He was born on October 4, 1945 in Fort Wayne to the late Russel R. and Ruth M. (Riemen) Stieglitz.

Richard was a 1964 graduate of Northside High School and then went on to further his education at Indiana University and then Mount Saint Mary's Seminary in Cincinnati.

Rick was a member of Saint Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus, a member of the Warsaw Kiwanis, and a Serra Club Member.

He enjoyed travelling and helping others. Rick devoted his life to the service of others and will be fondly remembered for his loving and generous spirit.

He is survived by his children, Jacques Calixte, Marc Calixte, Marc Elie Dugue, Gustuve Kerlegrand, Ricardo Stieglitz, Nehemia Scutt, Benson Scutt, Sterlin Colas, Jude Stieglitz, Luckson Stieglitz, Monsima Mildor, Alain Calixte, Jonas Kerlegrand, Joel Philogine, Welvins Amilcar, Clifford Stieglitz, Francelene Stieglitz, Francene Stieglitz, and Richelle Stieglitz; numerous grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; and siblings, Karen (Larry) Roebel, Mark (Kathleen) Stieglitz, Thomas (Deborah) Stieglitz, and James Stieglitz.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Saint Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne with calling from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Calling will also be Friday, November 15, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne with the recitation of the Most Holy Rosary beginning at 4:45 p.m. Burial will follow Mass at Catholic Cemetery.
