Rita M Bookmyer, 86, of Fort Wayne died January 7, 2019 at Parkview Memorial Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne, IN. Rita was born May 29, 1932 in Fort Wayne. She was the daughter of the late Silas and Alice Alspaugh. Rita was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and Women's Club. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Frank Bookmyer; children, Ronald (Barbara) Bookmyer of MI, Mike (Kara) Bookmyer of Fort Wayne, IN, Carolyn Bookmyer of Fort Wayne, IN, Mary Ann (Greg) Heatwole of MI and Janet Walmsley of MI; grandchildren, Brody Fox, Madisen (Austin) McCarley, Kaleb Fox, Gabriella Bookmyer, Jacob and Joshua Walker, Elizabeth Heatwole, Mary Grace and Christopher Bookmyer and Rachel Walmsley; sister Joan Bobay of Fort Wayne, IN; brother Jim (Pat) Alspaugh. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 Thursday, January 10. 2019 at Saint Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr. with calling one hour prior. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne with a rosary at 3:00 pm.
