Rita Clemmer, age 98, passed away on April 22, 2025, at her home.  A life-long Fort Wayne resident, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Marcella (Bobay) Weaver. Rita was married to Benjamin Clemmer for 62 years until his passing in 2009.  She loved God, family, country, music, genealogy, and playing cards. Rita was an active member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church for over 67 years.

Surviving are her children, Edward (Jane) Clemmer, Carol Scheiman, Martin (Roberta) Clemmer, Joel (Edith) Clemmer, Mary Beth (David) Bienz, and Teresa (Darryl) Carstensen; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ann (Paul) Hasenour. Rita was preceded in death by her husband; infant son, Joseph; and her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 W. State Boulevard, Fort Wayne, IN 46808. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with a Rosary recited at 4:30 p.m.  Burial at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.  Memorials can be written to Mass Intentions at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Comfort Keepers (www.comfortkeepers.com) or Stillwater Hospice (https://stillwater-hospice.org) in Rita's name.  Condolences can be left at www.divinemercyfuneralhome.com for the family.
