Robert J. Kortokrax, age 81, of Ossian, Indiana, passed away on Monday June 1, 2026, at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was a graduate of Bishop Luers High School and attended IPFW. Robert was a service technician for Lincoln Graphics and then worked at Lowe’s Home Improvements retiring in 2010 with seventeen years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph Hessen - Cassel Catholic Church where he volunteered at the food bank and was an avid Notre Dame fan. He was a man who could fix most anything. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.

Robert J. Kortokrax was born on March 5, 1945, in Fort Wayne, the son of Robert L. and Madeline M. (Smith) Kortokrax. He is survived by one sister, Jill Lees, of Fort Wayne, a brother, Richard (Mary) Kortokrax, of Indianapolis, and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Susan Kortokrax and Sally Miller.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 10, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph -Hessen Cassel Catholic Church, 11337 Old US Hwy 27 S, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46816.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the church with Reverend Bill Kummer officiating.

Interment will be in Catholic Cemetery with grave side military rites conducted by American Legion Post #241 and the United States Army Honor Guard.

Memorial are requested in the form of masses to St. Joseph-Hessen Cassel Catholic Church.
