Roger W. Mauger, age 86, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Stillwater Hospice Home. Born on August 27, 1938, he was the son of the late Branson and Ollie (Smith) Mauger. Roger served his country honorably for seven years in the Army National Guard. He worked at GE in Fort Wayne for over 30 years until his retirement. When not working, Roger enjoyed gardening and landscaping his lawn. He won several prizes for his beautiful flowers and plants and received yard of the month recognition from his neighborhood. Roger also enjoyed western square dancing and polka music. He was a lover of German Fest and Germany was one of his favorite destinations to travel with his wife, Carol. Roger will be missed dearly by family and friends alike.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Carol Mauger; son, Joachim Mauger; grandchildren, Christopher (Carrie), Jeremiah, Justin, Heidi, and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Ava and Gabriel; brothers, Jay (Judith) Mauger and Jack (Judy) Mauger; sister, Linda (Kenneth) Poulson; daughter-in-law, Sharon "Sherry" Mauger; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Alexander and Ann Gater. Roger was preceded in death by his son, Juergen Mauger; his parents; brothers, Richard and Bob Mauger; and sister, Judy Hartzler.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Visitation will also be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne following the funeral service. Memorials can be written to Wounded Warriors in Roger's name.
