Obituary

Roland H. Kerr, 92, of Ft Wayne, died Monday November 18, 2014. He was born in Ft Wayne on April 27, 1932, the son of (the late) Hugh and Frieda (Stalf) Kerr. Roland earned bachelors degrees in both mechanical engineering and electrical engineering, from Indiana Technical College. He served his country with honor in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. On October 10, 1970, Roland married Estella (Welling) Kerr, who preceded him in death on November 20, 2016 after 46 years of marriage.

Roland's survivors include his nephews, Michael (Melody) Pucher and Dan (Roxie) Pucher, both of New Haven, and his niece, Karen (Tom) Johnson of Flowery Branch GA.

Roland was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and was devout in his faith. He retired in 1992 from Indiana-Michigan Power Co. and was an avid reader.

Funeral Services 11:00am Monday November 25, 2024 at Divine Mercy Lake Avenue Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue with the Rosary recited at 10:30am. Visitation is Monday from 9:30-10:30am at the funeral home. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery. The family's preferred memorials are Masses at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1102 S.
