Ronald R. Shroyer, 79, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday October 29, 2023 at Stillwater Hospice Home. Ron was born in Fort Wayne on April 22, 1944 and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He was a sports enthusiast for his entire life; he was a football and baseball coach and very involved in his son's and grandson's sporting events. Ron was an avid fan of Notre Dame football and Boston Red Sox baseball, but his greatest joy in life was his family and he cherished the time spent with family & friends. Ron retired from Valspar Corp. in 2001 after many years with the company.

Ron is survived by Linda (Wray) Shroyer, his wife of 50 years, and their children, Rick Shroyer, Eric Shroyer and Kirk Shroyer, all of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Carson and Hudson Shroyer; sister-in-law, Sandra Watts of Owensboro KY and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Shroyer; granddaughter, Amanda Shroyer and sister, Nancy May.

Visitation for Ron will be held from 2-5pm Friday November 3, 2023 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. Graveside services in Catholic Cemetery will be private.
