Rosemary Whitaker, 72, of Fort Wayne died October 7, 2021 at home. Rosemary was born December 1, 1948 in Fort Wayne, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosetta Thompson. She worked in the security department at Dupont Hospital and enjoyed going to the casinos. Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Charles H Whitaker Jr; daughter, Cheri Whitaker; sons, Bruce D. Whitaker, and Charles "Chuck" H. (Judy) Whitaker III; grandsons, Josh Geise, Daniel James Gebhart, Tyler Whitaker, and Daniel Whitaker; granddaughters, Samantha Claymiller, Camielle Gebhart, Jessica Goodpaster, and Sarah Whitaker and 9 great grandchildren that she loved very much; sister, Theresa Cramar; and her chihuahua Bailey Joseph. Rosemary was preceded in death by her sister Judy R. Fraze and brother Daniel J. Thompson. Funeral Service will be 10 am Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Visitation will also be Tuesday, October 12, 20021 from 3pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital.
