Ruthella Rose Kramer, 96, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Cedar Creek Fort Wayne. Born on June 1, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Estella Pottkotter. Ruthella was a proud graduate of South Side High School in Fort Wayne. She worked for International Harvester for over 9 years. On June 28, 1952, she married the love of her life, Gerald T. Kramer, who passed suddenly on January 30, 1972. Ruthella was a devoted mother to her two children. She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. She also enjoyed watching Cubs baseball, college basketball, game shows, and cooking programs. Ruthella was a social person who was a friend to many, including her neighbors. Faith was important to her. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Devout in her beliefs, Ruthella attended Mass regularly and then watched Mass on television when she could no longer attend in person. She will be missed for her big smile, her big laugh, and her big heart. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cheryl S. Kramer of Blacklick, OH, and Daniel G. Kramer of Fort Wayne, IN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald T. Kramer; her parents; and one brother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 W. State Blvd., Fort Wayne, IN 46808. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with a rosary beginning at 3:30 p.m. Memorials can be made for Mass Intentions at Queen of Angels in Ruthella's name.
