Sara E. “Sally” Lineman, our beautiful mom of 86 years, found her wings today. For those that had the pleasure of knowing her, knew she shot straight from the hip. So don’t ask for the truth, if you didn’t want your feelings hurt. Through it all, she loved her family and friends with fierce passion, so don’t get in her way. She will be missed. Love you and miss you mom.

Sara E. “Sally” Lineman was born on December 17, 1939, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth (Linehan) Daughtery. She married Richard R. Lineman on October 12, 1961, and he survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Margaret “Peggy” A. (Martin ) Diedrich and Mary E. (Frank) Benhower; two sons, John A. Lineman and Joe E. (Marsha) Lineman; five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Nancy Marchini. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Joe Daugherty, Lonny Daugherty and Dan Daugherty; and three sisters, Pat Combs, Marjorie Melanoski, and Mary Loretta Mansfield.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 12:00-1:00 P.M. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Services will follow at 1:00 P.M. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne.
