Sara Nash, 79, passed away on September 18, 2024, in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on July 11, 1945 in Fort Wayne IN, to Warren Jackson and Dorotha Jackson. Sara graduated from Monroeville High School in 1963 and went on to earn her degree in Nursing. She started her career as a Registered Nurse and went on to work for Parkview Hospital. After a lengthy career in nursing Sara was inspired to pursue her passion of working with children as a Teacher's Aide and later a Crossing Guard for Fort Wayne Community Schools. Sara married Franklin Nash on June 14, 1968 in Fort Wayne, IN. The couple had 3 children, Diana Schaffrannek of Berlin, Germany, Beth Lengacher of New Haven, IN, and David Nash of Colorado Springs, CO. Sara was best known for her love of animals, strong faith, and devotion to her family. Sara is survived by: Diana (Christof) Schaffrannek - daughter, Beth (Cory) Lengacher – daughter, David Nash - son, Christian Nash - grandson, Hendrik Schaffrannek - grandson, Caroline Hambrick - granddaughter, Merik Lengacher - grandson, Thomas (Bobbi) Jackson - brother, Jerri  (Ali El-Afandi) Jackson - niece. Sara is preceded in death by Franklin Nash - spouse, Warren Jackson - father, Dorotha Jackson – mother. The service for Sara Nash will be held on Tuesday, October 1st at 11:00 AM at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805. The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at Monroeville Memorial Cemetery in Monroeville, IN. Memorial donations can be made in Sara's name to Humane Fort Wayne.
