Sharon A. Beck, 96, passed away peacefully at St. Anne Retirement Community on September 22, 2026. She was born in Fort Wayne and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Berniece Bevelheimer. Sharon went to Precious Blood Grade School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1948.

Sharon was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, that loved spending time with her family. She also loved her times spent at her family’s cottage at Coldwater Lake. Sharon had many cousins that she held very close to her heart. She relished her time spent with friends old and new including the devoted staff at St. Annes and her favorite restaurants. She loved to travel, read and do jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Sharon had a unique gift that allowed her to remember people’s names and who they were related to. Sharon would light up whenever she saw a familiar face and relished the time spent catching up with them. Sharon worked at Bevelheimer’s Drug Store, Lincoln Bank, Norwest Bank, and Wells Fargo Bank. She also volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital. Sharon will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Bob) Mitchell; son-in-law, Brad Bodette; grandchildren, James (Kellie) Mitchell, Ashley Mitchell (Chris Trahin), and Jonathan (Gabrielle) Bodette; great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Sawyer Mitchell, Austyn and Jonny Jr. Bodette, and Evelyn Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Beck; daughter, Kathleen Bodette; son, John Beck; and her parents.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne Home & Retirement Community Chapel on October 17, 2026 at 1:00 pm with visitation starting at 12:00 pm.
