Stephen W. Heath, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday February 11, 2026 at Ashton Creek Health and Rehabilitation. Steve was born August 23, 1938 in Fort Wayne, the son of (the late) Earl and Gladys (Spranger) Heath. Steve will be remembered for his love of basketball and his unique sense of humor.

He is survived by his daughter. Peggy (Roger) Kares in Tennessee; sons, James (Maelle) Heath and Steve Heath, both of Fort Wayne, and Bill (Arleen) Heath in Arkansas; sister, Shirley Dickinson of Fort Wayne; brothers, Paul (Melanie) Heath and Bob Heath, both of Fort Wayne, David (Mary Jo) Heath in Wyoming, Larry (Sara) Heath in Georgia, Tom (Linda) Heath in Florida; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Steve was also preceded in death by his spouse, Marge Heath; sons, John Heath and Matt Heath; daughter Julie Heath; brother, Ken Heath; 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchild.

Services 10:30am Friday February 20, 2026 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. with visitation from 9:30am-10:30am. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
