Stephen Paul Sandy, age 78, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026. Born on March 18, 1948, he was the son of the late Rev. Laverne and Ruth (Hostetler) Sandy. Steve proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a delivery driver for Thrifty Delivery and as a driver helping patients get to their medical appointments. Steve also worked in the factory at Flickinger Industries in Fort Wayne. He spent his later years lovingly caring for his wife of 30 years, Constance Sandy, who survives.

When not working, Steve enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling to Florida. His priority was spending time with his family and close friends. He loved being a grandfather and treasured the quality time he had with his grandkids.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Constance Sandy; sons, Jason Sandy, Todd Sandy, and Ryan Sandy; stepdaughter, Angela Mason; stepson, Kevin Mason; grandchildren, Kierra (Kevin) White, Malcolm Ellis, Desire Ellis, Anthony Mason, Autumn Mason, and Hannah Mason; great-grandchildren, Kaliyah, Kevin, Kiyanna, Kylie, and Kamiyah White; and sister, Cynthia (Lawton) King. Steve was preceded in death by his grandson, Devin Stephen Sandy.

A casual visitation and Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
