Steven D. Feasel, 70, passed away May 14th, 2025 at home, surrounded by those who loved him dearly.  Born in Fort Wayne, Steven was the son of Betty Jane (Drewett) Feasel and Galen Dowe Feasel.  He graduated North Side High School in 1973.  A life-long Chicago Bears fan, he loved gamedays at Soldier Field.  Steven loved to fish – especially for walleye – spending many Spring days standing in the river in Maumee Ohio during the annual walleye run. Camping with the kids was a favorite vacation, but he also loved to relax anywhere there was sun, sand and water.

Steven is survived by Sharon K. (Quinn) Feasel, his spouse of 42 years; and his children, Kelly Quinn Feasel and Joseph Dowe Feasel; and grandchildren Jordan, Betty and Jocelyn.  Nothing made him happier than to spend time with the grandkids, and they will miss him very much, as will his devoted dog Morgan, the latest in a line of much-loved boxers. Also surviving is a sister Galene Smith; brothers and sisters in law Patrick and Karen Quinn of Baker Florida, Colleen Carter of Fort Wayne, Michael and Beth Quinn of Decatur IN, Casey and Peggy Quinn of Fort Wayne, and Shawn and Jennifer Quinn of Albion IN; and many nieces and nephews, including Jason Feasel with whom he was very close having spent much time with him during Jason's youth. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Diana; and brother John.

Coming from modest background, Steven was raised by a single Mom after his father passed away when he was just 3 years old, instilling an acute awareness of the struggles of those less fortunate.

As a young man he was the life of the party – people seemed to naturally gravitate to him.  When he settled into married life family became his focus spending more time than many Dads caring for his children so Sharon could pursue her high education goals and have a fulfilling career.  He was the wind beneath her wings.

Steven was deeply grateful for the nurses and caregivers of Stillwater Hospice who provided unwavering kindness and attention while under their care for nearly a year and half.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Fort Wayne, Soaring Hawk Rescue or Stillwater Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2213 Brooklyn Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46802 with visitation one hour prior.  Visitation will also be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.  Internment at Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
