Susan "Sue"
Budzon
July 21, 1962 – March 25, 2026
Susan "Sue" M. Budzon, age 63, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Born on July 21, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Mary Ann (Brothers) Pettit. Sue graduated from Northrop High School in 1980. She received her nursing degree in 1988 from Parkview Methodist School of Nursing. Sue married Daniel Budzon on October 8, 2000, and they spent 22 wonderful years together until Dan's passing in 2023. She worked as a nurse in the Fort Wayne area at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne Cardiology, and later at Parkview Research until her retirement in 2021.
When not working, Sue enjoyed playing pickle ball, listening to music, and supporting her husband's love of Notre Dame football. Faith was extremely important to Sue, and she was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. She will be remembered for the way a room was magnetized toward her. People were naturally drawn to her kind essence and her love of life. Sue was a natural caregiver whether it was caring for people or animals. She will be deeply missed by family and friends alike.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Tara and Andrea Budzon; grandchildren, KeAndre, KeAria, and Kalyah; brother, Dennis (Judy) Pettit; and sister, Barbara Pettit. Sue was preceded in death by her husband Dan Budzon; her parents, Glenn and Mary Ann (Brothers) Pettit; and brother, David Pettit.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46835 with visitation one hour prior.
