Susan E. Pallone, age 77, of Fort Wayne, died on March 26, 2026, after an extended illness. She was born on March 10, 1949, in Fort Wayne, the daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth (nee Leonard) Jordan. Susan attended St. Patrick’s grade school, graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1967, and attended St. Mary of the Woods in Terre Haute, graduating in 1971. She received her Master of Library Science degree from Indiana University – Bloomington in 1972. She worked for the Allen County Public Library – Fort Wayne as a Research Librarian and was featured in a local newspaper article about being “the voice” who answered the phone when patrons called the research department.

Survivors include her husband of nearly fifty-four years, Thomas J. Pallone, Jr., whom she married on June 17, 1972, in Fort Wayne; her sister-in-law, Susan P. Henley; brother-in-law, William E. Pallone; many loving cousins; lifelong friends; four nieces and their spouses; two great-nieces; and five great-nephews.

Susan had a lifelong love of books and reading. She was a long-time book club member. Tom and Susan loved going to and exploring St. Joseph, Michigan, and faithfully watched the classic game show Jeopardy together. She was also an avid Sudoku puzzle player.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Edward R. Jordan in 1948; and Tom’s parents, Thomas J. Pallone, Sr. in 1998 and Rita J. Pallone in 2009.

Private grave side services and interment will take place in Catholic Cemetery with a celebration of Susan’s life to be held at a later date.
