Susan M.
Reinbolt
July 18, 1960 – May 6, 2025
Susan Reinbolt, beloved wife, mom, and grandma, passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with cancer on May 6, 2025. Susan was the devoted wife of Michael Reinbolt, cherished mother of Emily Reinbolt and Marie Barnett, and proud grandma to Evelynn and Theodore Barnett.
Susan's greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her warmth, compassion and unwavering love were felt by all who knew her. She found profound happiness in the everyday moments, heartfelt conversations and the laughter of her grandchildren. A good day was making sure she was always there, in whatever way possible, for Marie and Emily and Evelynn and Ted. Susan enjoyed needlepoint, crafting and painting as well. She was also a wonderful cook and barely looked at a recipe (most of the time).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Jeanette (Gerardot) Vachon, her sisters Marie and Margaret Vachon and sister-in-law, Tamara Vachon. Susan is survived by her husband of 42 years, Michael Reinbolt and her daughters, Marie (Kyle) Barnett and Emily (Andy Bauer) Reinbolt and her grandchildren, Evelynn and Theodore Barnett. Susan is also survived by her sisters Phyllis Harber, Therese (Michael) Piercefield and Thomas (Kimberly) Vachon, Jr. of New Haven, Patricia (Michael) Ryznar of Fortville, IN and Michael (Heather) Vachon of Andrews, IN and countless nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Monday, May 12, 2025 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2155 Randallia, with calling 1 hour prior. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made in Susan's honor to Riley Hospital for Children, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Children's Hospital.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved most. Susan will be deeply missed but remembered always for her unconditional love and support, gentle spirit, and the deep devotion she had for her family.
