Thaddeus J. "Thad" Morken, 35, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday November 7, 2024. He was born in Fort Wayne on February 28, 1989, the son of Thomas and Tammy (Sheehan) Morken, who survive along with Thad's brother, Thomas "Tommy" Morken; sister, Taylor (Christopher) Pelkington and nieces & nephew, Eleanor, Christopher III, Emma and Maisie Pelkington; grandmothers, Kathleen Sheehan and Marjorie Morken, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Thad was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Richard Morken and Dan Sheehan; his uncle, Timothy Morken, and aunt, Laura Patane.

Thad graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School with the Class of '08 and went on to earn his bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from Purdue West Lafayette and was completing his PhD. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Parish; he enjoyed learning and furthering his education. He also enjoyed world traveling, snow skiing, playing euchre, building computers, reading, and spending time with family & friends.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Wednesday November 13, 2024 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd. with visitation from 10-11am. Visitation is also on Tuesday from 4-8pm at Divine Mercy Lake Avenue Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
