Obituary

Theodore P. "Ted" Miller

A Century of Wit and Significance

Theodore P. "Ted" Miller, 100, of Fort Wayne, passed away on March 27, 2025, at the remarkable age of 100.

Born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1925 in Jersey City, New Jersey to his mother, Beatrice (Ficker) and Harry Miller. Ted was raised in Brooklyn, NY by his mother and beloved stepfather, John DeMarco with his brothers, Harry, Jr. and Donald, Sr.

A true patriot, Ted served his country with distinction as a United States Marine in World War II and the Korean War.

Following a successful career as an IBM Branch Manager, he retired in 1982 and settled in Fort Wayne where he continued to share his wry and unwavering humor with all who knew him. Ted's legacy is one of laughter, courage and exchanging stories. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends and anyone he "bumped into" to share in his extraordinary, long life.

He had a special place in his heart for everyone who was his friend and caregiver at the St. Anne Community Center where he spent his final years.

Ted was predeceased by his devoted wife, Corinne Hopkins Miller and fiance, Donnagene Dillman and niece, Jacqueline Miller.  He is lovingly remembered by his niece, Doreen (Michael) Uttaro; his nephews: John B. (Ellen) Miller, Donald (Lisa) Miller, Jr.  and Scott (Caren) Miller; great-nieces: Kristin Madsen, Colleen (Brian) Restivo, Carolyn (Ryan) Brenard, Nicole and Jacqueline Uttaro and Grace Miller; great-nephews: Scott (Tara) and Daniel Miller, Donald Miller and Matthew Uttaro; great-great-nieces; Brianna Madsen, Olivia Restivo and Elaine Miller and great-great-nephews: Andrew and Austin Restivo and Timothy Madsen and dear friend, Judie Dafforn.
