It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Therese “Terry” Ann Meyers, who left us peacefully on April 11, 2026, at the age of 77. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN, on September 4, 1948, to George E. and Virginia (Shaffer) McKenzie. Therese was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She spent her career as a purchaser in the industrial construction industry, serving with Shambaugh and Sons and Anthony Motor Parts, where she was respected and valued for many years.
Terry is survived by her loving husband, Paul Meyers; her daughter, Jennifer Abbott (Sam); her grandchildren Sierra and Wyndam, her sisters Mary Morrow and Patricia McKenzie; and her brother, Thomas McKenzie (Molly). She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Julie A. Meyers, and brother, Matthew McKenzie. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Terry enjoyed gardening, playing games, and sewing. Terry also enjoyed planning trips and traveling the country with her husband, friends, and grandchildren. Terry will be remembered for her smile, her kindness, and her dedication to her family.
In honor of Terry’s life and legacy, a public visitation will be held at Divine Mercy Funeral Home-Cedar Canyons, 1986 W. Cedar Canyons Rd., Huntertown, IN 46748, on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 2:00pm – 5:00pm. Family and friends are encouraged to gather and share their fond memories of her.
