Obituary

Thomas J Pallone Jr, age 77, of Fort Wayne, died on June 3, 2026, after an extended battle with cancer. He was born September 25, 1948, in Fort Wayne, the son of Thomas and Rita Pallone. Tom attended St. Patrick's grade school, graduated from Bishop Luers in 1966, and attended Indiana Institute of Technology, graduating with a master's in engineering in 1970. Tom was on the fencing team at IIT. Tom worked 50 years for the Fort Wayne Water Pollution Control Department. In 2021, Mayor Tom Henry, declared October 26, 2021 "Tom Pallone Day" in celebration of 50 years with the City of Fort Wayne, including serving under seven administrations. 

Survivors include his brother William E. Pallone and sister Susan P. Henley, many devoted and loving cousins, four nieces and their spouses, two great-nieces and five great-nephews. 

Tom and his late wife Susan enjoyed visiting St. Joseph, Michigan and watching the sunset. They made a trip to visit Susan and John Henley at their home in Edgartown, Massachusetts with a surprise guest of Bill Pallone also attending. Bill made the siblings play "name that tune or artist" almost every morning before their site seeing adventures. 

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Rita Pallone, his grandparents James and Catherine Pallone and Elmer and Eleanor Wagner.

 A private grave side service and interment will take place in Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom's name to the Lucas Family Brain and Spine Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent, 2001 W. 86th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46260.
