Vesta Castle, age 85, of Fort Wayne passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024. Born on February 23, 1939, she was the daughter of George and Ruth (Huguenard) Nowell. On November 30, 1957, she married Fred J. Castle. Together they raised their children and built a life in Fort Wayne until Fred's passing in 1994. Vesta was a dedicated homemaker and loved being with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards and spending time at the lake.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Fred (Cherri), Thomas, and Jeff Castle; grandchildren, Kristen (Joe) Nuthals and Lindsay (Brandon) Garrison; and great-grandchildren, Paige, Cora, and Ella. Vesta was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne following the service.
