November 23, 1928 – December 10, 2025
Vivian (Brubaker) Priddy, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all, passed away peacefully on December 10 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born in Huntington, Indiana, on November 23, 1928. She married her high school sweetheart, Marvin Eugene Priddy, in 1950; he passed away on January 12, 2022.
Vivian attended Lindenwood College, DePauw University, Indiana University, and Butler University. Although she earned her master's degree, she chose to set her career aside to become a devoted wife and mother to her four children.
Vivian was deeply involved in volunteer work throughout Fort Wayne. She delivered Homebound Meals every Friday, volunteered at Erin's House, and was a member and past president of the Allen County Medical Auxiliary. She was also a member of PEO and the Allen County GOP, where she worked tirelessly in support of political candidates. At Community Christian Reformed Church, she served as a deacon. In 1976, she was honored as Bicentennial Mother of the Year by the Indiana Young Mother Council. Vivian also enjoyed participating in many clubs and community groups throughout Allen County.
Along with her husband, Vivian was preceded in death by her son, Mark Priddy. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Priddy (Richard McGee, Jr.), Leah Palmer (Dan), and Deanne Hunter (Justin); her grandchildren, Alexander Nuttall, Ian Rozumalski, Lauren Richmond, Amy Cox, Kristen Mullett, Grant Palmer, Heather Weinberg, and Isaac Hunter; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22, at 10:00 a.m., with calling one hour prior, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home – Cedar Canyons, 1986 W. Cedar Canyons Rd., Huntertown, Indiana. Calling hours will also be held on Sunday, December 21, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friends are welcome to attend and share stories and memories as we celebrate Vivian's blessed 97 years of life.
