Wayne F. Moughler, 86, of Ossian, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on March 28, 1937 in Butler to the late Roy and Hilda (Serfoss) Moughler.

On March 7, 1958 he married the love of his life, Carol Strayer and the two were blessed with 66 years of marriage.

Mr. Moughler worked as an auto mechanic for 50 plus years.

Wayne was a lifelong sportsman, whether that was hunting, shooting, or being out on the water. His passions included Duck, Quail, and Pheasant hunting; shooting Trap and Skeet; boating and water skiing; and playing golf, especially together with his wife.

He enjoyed traveling with family and friends, which included 23 cruises, traveling to Europe 3 times, and seeing numerous Charlie Pride shows.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Charles "Chuck" (Debbie) Moughler; and a sister, Gloria Phelps.

Also preceding Wayne in death was a sister, Rutheda Overholser.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be Friday, March 22, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
