Alfred T, Fial

Alfred T. Fial, 71, of Fort Wayne died January 14, 2023. Al was born October 25, 1951 in Chicago. He was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church.  Al was a Lay Minister, Devotional Writer and Stephen Minister. He graduated from Aurora University and was an Executive Director of Group Health Claims at Met Life. He was an avid reader of science fiction and religion. Al was a life-long supporter of Chicago sports teams.  Al enjoyed volunteering at WBOI radio station, and Matthew 25 while his health allowed."

Al is survived by his wife of 49 years Karlene; son, Geoffrey Fial of Fort Wayne, IN; daughter, Alissa Fial of Milwaukee, WI and sister, Margaret Nation of Wilmington, IL: niece, Ellen Sims; and nephews, Richard and Jody Johnson.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Virginia Fial.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Trinity English Lutheran Church, 450 W. Washington Blvd., Fort Wayne, IN  with calling one hour prior. Visitation also will be held Monday, January 23, 2023, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Inurnment will be in Trinity English Lutheran Church.  

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity English Lutheran Church, Aurora University or Humane Fort Wayne.
