Obituary
Alvina L. Koomler, 96, of Fort Wayne went home to her Lord on August 24, 2023. Alvina was born August 21, 1927 in Fort Wayne. She was a member of Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. She graduated from Central Catholic High School and work for General Electric prior to retiring from Magnavox. Alvina was an avid bowler .
Alvina is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Curt) Richman of Fort Wayne, IN and Roxane (Stu) Travelbee of Columbia City, IN; sister, Charlotte Wade; grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Alvina was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Lucille Wade, daughter, Sharon Zankowski, sisters, Waneta Koehlinger, Anna Mae Gebhart, Dorothy Hartzog, brothers, Alvin Wade and Richard M. Wade.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 pm, Monday, September 11, 2023 at Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, 112 South Clinton Street with calling one hour prior. arrangements by Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.
