Amber Firestine

Amber Marie Firestine, 39, of Fort Wayne passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on December 21, 2021. Amber was born in Bluffton, IN on January 11, 1982.

Amber was a proud graduate of Snider High school and Ball State University where she earned her masters degree in education.  She really shined in the classroom due to her love of teaching and for her students.  She was an amazing teacher and will be sorely missed by her cedarville family.  Amber loved her Catholic faith and was involved with Kingdom Builders, Christ Renews His Parish, and the adopt group at Saint Vincent de Paul Parish.  Her strong faith and rosary carried her and many loved ones through tough times.  Amber's true vocation in this life was wife to Andy and mother to Joseph, Jackson, and Isabel.  She lived her vocation with honor, duty, sacrifice, and love all the way to the very end.  Amber's life was inspiring to all those around her and will be greatly missed.  She also inspired in death as she fought a difficult battle to the very end.  She never gave up.

Amber is survived by her adoring husband; Andrew “Andy” Firestine; 3 beloved children,Joseph, Jackson, and Isabel ; mother, Janie Baker; sister Andrea Higgins siblings, Grandmother Betty Lehman. Amber was preceded in death by her father, Kim Higgins and grandfather Roy Lehman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:30 pm, Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E Wallen Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825, with calling one hour prior.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 27, 2021 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne
Burial will take place at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.
