Audrey Rose (Osterholt) Woods

Audrey Rose (Osterholt) Woods, 73, of Fort Wayne passed away Monday, July 4, 2022.  Born July 29, 1948, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Walter Osterholt and Luella (Hartings) Osterholt.  She graduated from Central Catholic High School in Fort Wayne, Class of 1966.  She earned a B.S. in education from St. Francis College (now University of St. Francis) and a M.S. in math from Indiana State University.  Audrey was an amazing mother, loving sister and aunt, talented educator, accomplished mathematician, ground-breaking percussionist, female soccer referee, and the best chocolate chip cookie and pumpkin pie baker of all time.  She is survived by her son, Jeremy of Bakersfield, California; daughter, Jody (Kyle) Cullen of McLean, Virginia; grandson, Finnin Cullen and granddaughter, Kinna Cullen; sisters, Ruthie (Ron) Moss, Nancy (John) Hessler, Theresa Dirig, Karen (Ron) Palmer, Agnes (Bob) Polston; and many beloved nieces and nephews.  Audrey was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane (Sister Jane Marie S.P.).   Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Monday, July 11, 2022, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave with calling one hour prior. Visitation also Sunday, July 10, 2022, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm with a vigil service at 1:45 pm, also at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be in Catholic Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to University of St. Francis, a charity to benefit children's musical education, or plant a tree in her name.
