Austin Michael Mendez

Austin Michael Mendez, 16, of Fort Wayne died April 11, 2021. Austin was born March 11, 2005 in Fort Wayne. Austin was a student at Homestead High School he will always be remembered for his kind heart, funny sense of humor and for always putting others first. He always tried to be an excellent brother to all his siblings and deeply loved his mom and dad. He enjoyed playing saxaphone, piano, keyboard and his guitar and writing with his creating music with his guitar as well. Austin loved the outdoors and would find ways to replicate sounds around him with his guitar. Austin is survived by his mother Ursula Mendez; father Michael Lopez; step father Gino Quinones; sister, Olivia Mendez; two brothers, Isaac Mendez and Ethan Mendez; two grandmothers, Diane Luna and Irma Mendez and grandfather, Jose E. Mendez, Jr. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 18, 2021, 1 pm - 3 pm & 5 pm - 7 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Funeral Service will be Private. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
