Brenda Kay Ochoa, 64, of Fort Wayne passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. Brenda was born February 6, 1957 at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Brenda was a nurse at Lutheran Hospital prior to retiring after 39 years of service. She fully experienced life, loved her family, and spending time with them. She loved traveling, camping, and you’d seldom find her without a book in her hand. She was kind, caring, and loving. She touched the hearts of everyone that knew her, and her sense of humor was contagious. She was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, a caring sister, and the THE BEST grandma.
Brenda is survived by her husband Richard; sons, Aaron (Carrie) Ochoa and Nathan Ochoa; step daughters, Rachelle (Gene) Hall and Noel Ochoa; grandsons, Brandon (Shyenne) Hall and AJ Ochoa and granddaughter Kayla Hall; sisters, Cary (Shawn) McDaniel, Pam Bell, brother Steve Wade. Brenda also had several step brothers and step sisters.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Wade, and Elizabeth Krontz; sister Dianne Mercer and grandson Jacob Ochoa.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave with calling one hour prior. Visitation will also be held 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
