Carol Abbott

Carol Ann Abbott, 84, of Fort Wayne died June 27, 2021 at Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, IN. Carol was born to the late Fred and Ester Boehrer on December 19, 1936 in Fort Wayne. She was a member of Saint Henry Catholic Church. She graduated from Central Catholic High School  and worked at First Federal Bank. She enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking & golf and also enjoyed Lake of the Woods for 72 years. Carol is survived by son-in-laws, Walter Rorick and Lee Povlock; grandsons Matthew (Samantha) Povlock and Donald Rorick; 2 great grandchildren Liam, Margaret with a third on the way and many nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Abbott;  daughters, Marilyn "Lynn" Sue Povlock, and Karen Marie Rorick and grandson Paul Rorick. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am, Friday, July 2, 2021 at Saint Henry Catholic Church,  with calling one hour prior. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm with a Rosary at 4:30pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial contributions may be made to Women's Care Center & Masses.
