Christine "Chris" Lowe

Christine Lowe, 79, of Fort Wayne passed away on July 3, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Chris was born December 25, 1942, in Detroit.

Chris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always held family close to her heart.

She was a psychologist in private practice for many years in Kalamazoo, where she was sought after by clients whose lives were reshaped by her commitment and skill.

Chris was, at times, a teacher, a farmer, a shop-owner, a traveler, a painter and a quilter as a member of the Appleseed Quilt Guild for 25 years. She found and spread joy as each.

Christine is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Lowe; children, Marsha 'Marti" (Norm) Berry, Cheri (Rick) Blastick, Daniel (Erin) Lowe, Michael (Laura) Bowling;  14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings Rosemary Newsom, Louise Page; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Anna Skolasinski.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 8, 2022, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne.

Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.
