Curtis Isley Obituary

Curtis Russell Isley, 48, of Fort Wayne died September 6, 2020 unexpectedly at his home. He was born October 31, 1971 in Fort Wayne. He attended high school at Northrop, graduating in 1990. He attended IPFW for 2 years.

He worked as a personal banker for Star Financial Bank for the last 8 years. In his role as a trainer at the bank, he was one of the first to have interactions with a lot of the new employees. In the last few days since his passing, we are amazed and thankful for all the kind words expressed by everyone in his Star family. We never knew how many people’s lives he impacted or influenced.

To say he was an avid gamer is an understatement. He loved any kind of game, be it card games, board games, dice games, RPG, video games or other computer games. He loved anything related to games but especially Dungeons & Dragons. His favorite vacation was his yearly pilgrimage to Gen Con with his friends. He loved being a Dungeon Master and running games. He was an amazing storyteller and had the best imagination. He loved playing new games and especially teaching his nieces and others new games.

He loved watching all kinds of sports and following his favorite teams, the Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Reds and the New York Islanders. His favorite times were Sundays during NFL football season when he would hang out at Buffalo Wild Wings on Dupont with his friends and family watching all the sports he could.

He loved jokes and puns of any kind. He spoke fluent movie quotes and sarcasm. He was great at accents and funny voices. He had even signed up for a voice-over class at Purdue Fort Wayne because he thought it would be fun.

Curtis is survived by his parents, Terry & Cathy Isley, sister Regina (Keith) Layman and 3 nieces, Gabrielle, Reith & Amelia Layman all of Fort Wayne.
