Diane Burch

Diane (Schoenle) Burch, 79, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on May 12, 2023. Born November 16, 1943, Diane was the daughter of the late Paul and Donna Schoenle. Diane married the love of her life, Jerry Morris Burch, her surviving husband of 51 years. She retired from banking and finance in 2013. Diane was an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church and St. Vincent DePaul Society. She volunteered at Parkview Hospital and St. Anne’s Retirement Home. Diane never said the word “no” when it came to helping others. She hosted Christmas each year for over 70 family, friends, and those with no other place to go. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, IU basketball, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved gardening and her yard was a neighborhood treasure. Most of all, she loved God. Her faith carried her home. Diane is survived by her daughters, Michele MacDowell (Barney BeGuhl) of Eugene, OR, Meegan Langas (JB Langas) of Ft. Wayne, IN, son, Kevin MacDowell (Lara Weaver) of Bloomington, IN, stepson, Shawnn Burch (Sakia Burch) of Ft. Wayne, IN, stepdaughter, Nicole Burch of Ft. Wayne, IN. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren and and 6 great grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday May 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with calling from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Drive, Ft. Wayne, IN.
