Donald F. Nicole

Donald F Nicole, 88, of Fort Wayne passed away July 19, 2022.  Born June 2, 1934 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late John and Laura Hein Nicole. Don graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School.  He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. He retired from Westinghouse Electric Supply in Orlando, Florida as Branch Administrative Manager; previously BAM in Muncie, IN, Peoria, IL and Fort Wayne.  He also retired from Fort Wayne Community Schools as Purchasing Agent/ Supervisor of Purchasing.  He loved playing euchre, fishing, and working in his yard. 

Donald is survived by his wife Carolyn, also his children, Vicky (Bradley) Strock of Denver, NC,  and Cheryl Nicole of Leo, IN; three grand children, Elliot Strock, Audrey (Vince) Lovetro of Denver, NC, and Vanessa Karr of Leo, IN.   

Donald was preceded in death by his grandson James Strock, sisters, Geraldine Wagner and Elaine Clevenger, brothers, Eugene Nicole and John Nicole. 

Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Monday, July 25, 2022 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave with calling from 9:30-11am.  Arrangements by Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Worship Anew, JAM Center in Garrett IN or to a charity of donor's choice.
