Donna Mae Neireiter went home to be with her Lord on March 29, 2022. She was born in Ft. Wayne, IN on August 1, 1934, the daughter of the late Carl and Marjorie Boxberger.
She spent her summers at Jimmerson Lake and raised her family on Lake James with the fond memories of boating, campfires, fishing, pontoon rides, swimming, and spending quality time with her family and dear friends. Donna attended Most Precious Blood Catholic School and graduated from Central Catholic School. She enjoyed bowling and won the title of WPTA bowler of the week in 1976. Donna coached basketball at Most Precious Blood School. She also played softball for several years. She and her husband Keith owned and operated Advance Machine Works since 1971. She loved going to her condo in Ft. Meyers Beach Florida. Donna was very competitive, often enjoying beating her grandchildren at arm wrestling. She was an excellent aunt, doting on her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her sons and grandchildren more than anything.
She is survived by her children, Bryan (Tammy) Neireiter, Bruce (Tami) Neireiter, Robert (Ann Marie) Neireiter; grandchildren, Meghan, Nicholas, Brooke (Caleb), Brittany, Jack, Joshua, and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Mary and Natalie; brother, Jerry (Joyce) Boxberger; and her angel caregiver, Rosemary Elder.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Keith Neireiter; brother, Jack; sisters, Louann Elder and Mary Keeley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 W. State St., Ft. Wayne, IN 46808.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Monday, April 4, 2022, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Ft. Wayne, IN 46805 with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 6 pm.
Burial will take place in Catholic Cemetery, Ft. Wayne, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to masses in her name at Queen of Angels.
