Edward Anthony Dobosz

After many attempts over the years, God called Edward Anthony Dobosz home on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

Ed was born in Wheeling, West Virginia in 1940, and met the love of his life, Elizabeth “Betty”, in high school. They celebrated their 60th anniversary just last week.

He had a successful career at International Harvester/Navistar in both Chicago and Fort Wayne.

He had a great sense of humor, a strong faith, cared deeply about his family and friends, and would rarely miss either time with his golfing friends or Notre Dame football games on TV. Ed’s love for Christmas decorations and throwing parties in the basement are legendary. And he often spoke of how much love and appreciation he had for his neighbors and friends, all whom helped him and Betty through the years.

He is survived by his wife Betty; daughter, Amy (Chris Pasko); three sons, Ed (Lisa), Chris (Jen) and Andy (Sera); along with 11 grandchildren.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, sister and both brothers. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, December 9, 2021 with calling one hour prior at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. 

Entombment will take place in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Charles Catholic Church for masses.
