Eugene Tippmann, 83, of Fort Wayne died July 30, 2022. Gene was born June 12, 1939, in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born to the late Laurence and Mary "Cross" Tippmann. Gene was a member of Saint Charles Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. Gene was an alter server for daily mass there and at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart. He was the founder of the Saint Faustina First Responders Prayer Group, where he was dedicated to saving the poor souls in purgatory and educating others and how they could do the same. Gene was an adored husband father grandfather great grandfather and friend. Gene is survived by his wife Marilyn Tippmann who would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on August 10th; son Chip (Theresa) Tippmann, daughters Christy (Doug) Kayser, Monica (Chris) Nelson, Jessica Lynne (Brian) Finley, son Matt Tippmann, daughter Gina (Michael) Lake, son Todd (Julie) Tippmann, daughter Molly Jacquay, son Michael (Lily) Tippmann; siblings Donald (Marie) Tippmann, Laurel Tippmann, John (Jackie) Tippmann, Lois Tippmann, Helen (John) McCarthy, Barb Tippmann, Mary Tippmann, Ginny (Dave) Perkins, Sally (Rick) Ley, Nancy (Steve) Henry and Marybeth Tippmann; sister in-law Sylvia Winfield. 50 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren with 2 on the way. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd with calling one hour prior. Visitation will be held Friday, August 5, 2022, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a rosary at 7:30pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial contributions may be made to Masses.
