Floyd Franklin Ball Jr., 84, of New Haven, IN passed away January 9, 2022. Floyd was born June 22, 1937 in Greeneville, Tennessee. He was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church and a New Haven City Councilman. Floyd spent most of his career in management at International Harvester and later as a materials manager in the manufacturing sector. He spent his time living as a true example of honor, integrity, generosity and kindness. In his retirement, he gave much of his time being very involved with his kids and grandkids. As well as, enjoying his part time work for his sons and then most recently at Dollar Tree. He was never one to be complacent as can be seen by his many building and landscaping projects. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling in his RV, cooking, working outdoors, volunteering, and attending his grandkids’ athletic events. Floyd was very proud of his time he spent in the United States Army.
Floyd is survived by; son, James Ball; daughter, Vickie (Rick) Ball-Seiter; brother, O. Cecil (Shirley) Ball; daughter in-law, Josie Ball; granddaughters, Kennedy Ball, Katie (Alex) Wharton, Addie McCarthy, Morgan Ball, Grace Ball, Katie Seiter and Noel (Sean) Henke; grandsons, Karsten Ball, Will Ball and Daniel Hughes; great-granddaughters, Amelia Wharton, Layla Wharton, Gianna Wharton, Gemma McCarthy, Bella McCarthy; great-grandsons, Joseph Wharton, Lincoln McCarthy and Jayden Seiter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Ball; son, Peter Franklin Ball; brother; Walter T. Ball; sister Phyllis Ball; parents, Floyd Franklin Ball Sr. and Arvetta Douglas Ball.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, January 17th 11am at St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, 15535 Lincoln Highway East New Haven, Indiana 46774, with calling one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, January 16th at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery.
