Gregory L. Moyer, 71, of Columbia City, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Parkview in Fort Wayne. He was born on September 30, 1950, to the late Paul and Virginia (Bacon) Moyer of New Haven, IN and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Greg worked as a Railroad Engineer for Norfolk Southern for 20 years and part owner of Gensic Creative Metals at the time of his death. Greg lived a full life and loved spending time with his grandkids, fishing and mowing his lawn. He was an avid bowler and one of his most cherished moments was earning the “100 year” pin award. He was best known for his sense of humor and tough exterior but most loved for his generous heart. He is survived by his wife of more than 52 years, Jeannine (Coffee) Moyer; daughters, Janen Moyer of Boca Raton, FL and Tami (Ron) Britton of New Haven, IN; his son, Joe Moyer, of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Miriah (Jacob) Simpson, Sierra Pesso, Saige Pesso, Jacob Britton (Victoria) and Jarod Britton; brothers, Michael Moyer (Denise), Rick Moyer and John Moyer (Jan); sisters, Rose Moyer and MaryKay Yoder, along with many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Steve Moyer (MaryJo) and sister Janet Garner. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
