Guadalupe Zuniga Adame, 78, of Auburn passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Avilla, Indiana. Born on December 19, 1944 in McAllen, Texas, he was the son of the late Eluterio and Guadalupe (Zuniga) Adame. He moved to Defiance, Ohio and worked as a Machine Operator at TI Automotive in Ashley for over 15 years. Guadalupe met and married Mary (Schilt) while in Defiance. When not working, he enjoyed camping, fishing, and perfecting yardwork, including taking care of his children’s yards. He was an Ohio State football fan, as well as his grandchildren’s biggest fan when it came to attending all their sports and many activities. Guadalupe loved spending time with his family. Trivia games and Jeopardy were favorite pastimes of his. His faith defined him, as he was as devout Catholic watching weekly Mass on television when he could not attend in person. His passing leaves a void, and he will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him. Guadalupe is survived by his wife, Mary Adame; children, Gloria (Mike) Hollingsworth, Jason Adame, Rachel (Chad) Schwartz, Jessica Ridge, and Jennifer (Nate) Mitchell; grandchildren, Ryan, Connor, Samantha, Christian, Isabelle, Bailey, Anthony, Alexa, Tyler, Jordan, Brianna, Memphis, and Carly; great-grandson, Jude; and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and ten brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial for Guadalupe will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, April 14, 2023, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 228 North Main Street, Avilla, IN 46710 with visitation one hour prior.
