Amazing mom, grandmother, wife and sister, Jacqueline (Gerardot) Roehling left this world on July 31, 2021. She will be remembered for her love of family, service to others, devotion to her faith and passion for Notre Dame Football and IU Basketball. Born to Henry and Lillian Gerardot on July 10, 1933 in the St. Louis Besancon community, Jackie was the youngest of ten siblings. After finishing high school, she moved to Los Alamos, New Mexico with her oldest brother Manny. There she met her husband Duane Roehling and had three daughters, Valerie (Lothamer), Michele (Scott) Sahling and Jennifer (Tim) Miller. Jackie loved raising her girls in the beautiful mountains of northern New Mexico and made many lifelong friends. When Duane passed away suddenly, Jackie moved her family back to Indiana to once again be close to her siblings. Jackie’s devotion to her family will never be forgotten. Her legacy will be passed down through her grandchildren Madeline (Morrison) Miller, Noah Miller, Corrie (Giles) Sahling and Cameron Sahling. Jackie’s last surviving sister, Sister Rita Clare Gerardot, described her as valiant and strong! Jackie is preceded in death by her parents Lillian and Henry Gerardot, husband Duane Roehling, siblings Manny Gerardot, Dolores Lomont, Wilbur Gerardot, George Gerardot, Eileen Renier, Mary Ottenweller, Juanita Anderson and Monice Gerardot. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, September 18th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd, with a visitation one hour prior.
