James R. Kohrman

James Robert Kohrman, died July 26, 2021.  Born November 11, 1937, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Robert and Velma Kohrman.  Jim graduated from Central Catholic High school in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army reserve.  Jim worked in marketing and sales for GAF in Detroit and lastly for AGFA in Minnesota.  Jim is survived by his second wife, Carol Kohrman (Romary); his five children, Malissa, Craig (Jeanne), David, Jeffrey (Jenny), and Celia (Hector); Carol’s three children, Michael (Kris), Cheryl (Gary), and Douglas (Kelly); his brothers, Ronald (Gloria) and Steve (Deb); 16 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and other loving relatives. He was also preceded in death by his infant daughter, Monica, and his first wife, Janet.  Jim retired to his hometown of Fort Wayne after many years spent in Minnesota. He was a man with many hobbies.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, trap shooting, billiards, racquetball, and baseball.  He was an award-winning woodworker. He enjoyed landscaping and gardening, playing euchre, and reading everything he could find.  Jim enjoyed staying connected with his friends and family, and he often greeted you with a joke.  He will be dearly missed.  Special thanks to our Fort Wayne family for their love and support!!   Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Friday, August 13, 2021, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd, with calling from 9:30 - 11:00 am.  Inurnment will be at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Catholic Community or Visiting Nurse Hospice of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
