James W. Stoody

James W. Stoody, 89, of Fort Wayne died June 15, 2022, at Sage Buff Health and Rehab Fort Wayne. James was born, December 7, 1932, in Fort Wayne, the son of the late Joseph B. and Veronica (Bensman) Stoody, Sr. He married Mary F. (Murphy) Stoody, who survives, on October 24, 1969, in Ft Wayne.  James was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and served in the US Army during the Korean War.  He graduated from Central Catholic High School and was avid golfer and Boston Red Sox Fan. He retired from sales at Central Supply Co. in 1996 after 22 years of service. Other survivors, along with his wife, include, sister-in-law, Shelia Stoody and nephew, Thomas Murphy and many other nieces and nephews.  James was preceded in death by brothers, John, Thomas and Joseph Stoody, Jr., sister, Patricia Klein. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00am, Monday, June 20, 2022, at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Road Fort Wayne, IN, with calling one hour prior.  Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
