Janet Dembickie Obituary

Janet K. Dembickie, 74, of Fort Wayne passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at home surrounded by family.  Born May 17, 1947, in Fort Wayne she was a daughter of the late Harry and Josephine Buckmaster.  She graduated from North Side High School in 1965 and Lutheran Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in 1967.  Janet worked as a radiological technologist until she and her husband started a family.  Later she worked in a doctor’s office and at Armstrong Flowers.  She was active in her children's school activities and loved to spend time with family.   Janet is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Michael; children, Anthony (Kimberly) Dembickie, Jennifer (Matt) Dembickie-Coyne; granddaughters, Grace, Emma, and Claire Dembickie, Maylen, and Payton Coyne; grandsons, Jackson Dembickie, and Bennie Coyne; brother, David (Julia) Buckmaster; sister, Julie (Michael) Lee; and many nieces and nephews. Janet was also preceded in death by her brothers, Tom and Jerry Buckmaster. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Friday, July 16, 2021, at St Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr. with calling one hour prior. Visitation also Thursday, July 15, 2021, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., with rosary at 3:30 pm. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse.
