Janice Ruth (Ginzel) Schroeder

Janice Ruth Schroeder, 85, of Fort Wayne passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023.   Born January 10, 1938, in Fort Wayne she was a daughter of the late Orville Ginzel and Maude Martin. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and was an active supporter of Humane Fort Wayne. Janice graduated from North Side High School. She worked as an Executive Secretary at Central Soya, Parkview Hospital and PHP before retirement.  She was active in the Lamplighters Dance Group and loved to go on vacation. Janice is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Ron; daughter, Rhonda (David) Baatz; granddaughters, Sara (Nate) Byerline and Elizabeth (Brad) Sturges; and great grandchildren, Spencer, Farrah, Lincoln, Evan, and Savannah.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Minnich.  Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., with calling from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.  Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
