Jerry D. Steele

Jerry D. Steele, 80, of New Haven passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 peacefully at home. Jerry was born August 17, 1942 in Batesville, IN.  He served in the United States Army in Korea. Jerry was the CEO  at Indiana Medical Associates retiring in 2008 and enjoyed his retirement years in Naples, FL.  He was passionate about sports and coached youth baseball for many years.  He loved all things Indiana University, Cincinnati Reds and Indiana high school basketball. He spent his leisure time playing golf.  

Jerry  is survived by his wife Paula; sons, Rocky (Pam) Steele, Scott (Lauren) Steele; daughters, Renee (Joe) Sallee, Jerilyn (Boris) Koroncevicius; stepdaughters, Tina (Nikko) Mageo, Camille Darnell; stepson Raymond (Liz) Darnell; brother, Jim (Kay) Steele; former spouse, Janet Steele;  11 grandchildren, Dana, Autumn, Casey, Cory, Shon, Ashlee, Todd, Alec, Jacob, Julia and Maxwell and 16 great grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Everhart and son, Rickey Steele. 

Funeral Service will be 2pm, Saturday, Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave with calling 2 hours prior. Visitation will also be held 5-7pm Friday, Sept. 16, 2022 at the funeral home.  Private entombment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
