Jim Piepenbrink

James D. Piepenbrink, 79, of Fremont and formerly of Fort Wayne, died Monday April 24, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Jim was born in Fort Wayne on February 10, 1944, the son of (the late) George J. and Edna Mae (Kaliker) Piepenbrink. He graduated from Central Catholic with the Class of ’62 and then served his country proudly in the US Marine Corps. during the Vietnam Era. He earned his degree from Ventura College in Ventura CA and was employed by Trans-Media Broadcasting Service, from which he retired. Jim was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Angola; he loved the radio industry, and he cherished the time he spent with family & friends at his Lake Minfenokee home. Jim is survived by Susie Boggan, his companion and soul mate of 25 years; his sisters, Carolyn Alter of Dunnellon FL, Mary (Terry) Harkenrider of Fort Wayne and several nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am Wednesday May 3, 2023 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. with the Rosary recited at 11:00am.
