John Arthur Newbury, Jr., 80, of Fort Wayne passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 at home surrounded by family. John was born February 10, 1941 in San Diego, CA, a son of the late John and Helen Newbury. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. John served in the U.S. Army and was a member of a local American Legion Post. He graduated from Ball State University. John loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. John is survived by daughters, Cheryl Newbury, Michelle (Gary) Goodrich; grandchildren, Logan (fiancée, Taylor Amundson) Goodrich, Lauren (fiance, Samuel Seltzer) Goodrich; and great granddaughter, Scarlett Rose Seltzer. John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Erva M. Newbury (deceased, 1993). Private services will be held. Entombment will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
